The City is seeking a qualified consulting firm to provide support The City of Calgary’s comprehensive, accelerated review of its current Livery Transport Bylaw 6M2007 (see Appendix F). Calgary’s Livery Transport Bylaw regulates drivers, vehicles and companies in Calgary’s taxi, limousine and vehicle-for-hire industries. The regulating mandate is safety of the travelling public, service quality and consumer protection.
This project is to deliver a comprehensive best practices review of North American municipalities' livery transport regulatory frameworks and compare them to Calgary’s regulatory framework.
This project anticipates the following Phases:
Phase 1 Best Practices Review and Report; and
Phase 2 TBD Review & Analysis of Framework Options for Administration’s presentation to Council Q1 2020.
