Description

The City of Calgary (The City) intends to implement and own a narrowband fixed wireless system in order to provide improved network connectivity to City buildings and assets.
The City’s Water Services (WS) department operates water treatment and wastewater treatment systems that utilize Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).The initial phase of the project outlined in this document includes the narrowband fixed wireless deployment of one wireless link consisting of one Access Point and one End Point in order to provide connectivity for WS SCADA.
Subject to the successful completion of the initial phase, the narrowband fixed wireless deployment may expand to more WS SCADA sites and potentially some other business units as well.

The City is seeking proposals from experienced proponents for:

The supply of narrowband fixed wireless equipment and support identified in this document as Schedule 1; and
Network planning and design of the fixed wireless system identified in this document as Schedule 2.

The wireless technology is expected to leverage and integrate with existing City infrastructure.
Proponents may choose to bid on any or both of the above-noted Schedules. If a proponent elects to submit a proposal for both Schedules, clearly identify on the front of the submission which Schedule the proposal applies to. Proposals for each Schedule will be evaluated individually.
