18-028 - Vehicle Share Technology

The City of Calgary is looking at better utilization of low mileage vehicles via a car sharing solution. This solution should be able to schedule, reserve and allow access into City owned vehicles through an online or mobile portal. Alternatively, The City is also looking at ways to utilize current software with proposed hardware solutions that will allow operators to access vehicles without a physical key. This hardware solution should be able to tie into existing vehicle management infrastructure.
This Request for Information (RFI) is issued by The City of Calgary (“The City”) for the purposes of gathering general information on market ready software and hardware solutions for a vehicle share technology for The City. Both full standalone solutions and hardware only solutions can be submitted. This RFI will assist The City with the gathering of information in support of the potential creation of a subsequent RFx document for competitive bidding which may lead to a contract award.
