The City of Calgary (“The City”) is seeking a consultant to develop and implement an advanced early warning weather forecasting system for use by owners of buildings under construction, their contractors and The City.
The selected firm will provide The City with a comprehensive solution to the issue of ensuring adequate public safety at or near construction sites during periods of sustained heavy winds in the city of Calgary.
The project is divided into three (3) different phases which are described as follows:
Phase 1: Issue Review and Early Warning System Evaluation;
Phase 2: Refinement of Early Warning System; and
Phase 3: Implementation and Release of Early Warning System.
The scope of coverage is the entire city of Calgary.

  • Proposals must be submitted electronically on the Merx portal located online at: www.calgary.merx.com
  • All proposals must be submitted on or before the Submission Deadline.Proposals submitted after the Submission Deadline will be rejected.
