Description

The City of Calgary is seeking a supplier to produce and supply Traffic Calming Curbs (TC Curbs) for The City’s traffic calming projects to improve safety of all modes of transportation.

Traffic Calming Curbs (TC Curbs) were initiated as part of a pilot project in 2016. They were successfully installed in Erin Woods and many other locations with positive results in reducing vehicle speeds and improving yielding behaviour towards pedestrians in a cost-effective way.

The City would like to continue using these temporary curbs as well at various locations that require traffic calming. TC Curbs are precast concrete blocks with reinforced and pigmented yellow embedded in them.
