19-1547 - Flood Season and Outfall Pumping Readiness

The City of Calgary’s Water Utility is requesting proposals for seasonal rental of mobile (prime-mover or trailer mounted) dry-priming diesel-driven high volume Pump Units. These Pump Units are rented for flood preparedness (“Standby”) and response (“Usage”), and will be leveraged in the event of a river flood emergency such as the 2013 Calgary flood event.
 
The City may, in its sole discretion, select more than one (1) Supplier to deliver the total RFP requirements, if one (1) Supplier cannot fulfil the total requirement of the Deliverables. The intention is to award the first highest rated Supplier for the amount the Pump Units they can offer. The next highest rated Supplier will get the remainder of the deliverables and so on, until the overall requirement is fulfilled. If awared to more than one (1) Supplier, a list will be established based on rank and determine who is engaged first for deployment.
 
The total required quantity for this RFP is 119 Pump Units.
 
To be eligible for this RFP, Proponents are required to provide a minimum of fifty (50) Pump Units.
