19-1601 - Electric Vehicle Home and Workplace Charging Study

The City of Calgary and City of Edmonton are seeking a consulting firm to conduct a study on electric vehicle charging in homes and workplaces. The study will review best practices from other jurisdictions, engage stakeholders in both Edmonton and Calgary, and develop specific and detailed recommendations to advance opportunities for home and workplace charging in Alberta. The cities are seeking recommendations for government policies and actions, as well as recommended actions that other key stakeholder groups (such as the development industry and utility companies) are best positioned to implement.
 
The Consultant is required to have technical expertise in electric vehicles, building electrical systems, knowledge of municipal bylaw, provincial regulations and building codes, as well as experience in conducting multi-stakeholder engagement programs.
