Notice is hereby given by The City of Calgary of its intent to enter into a contract with Stryker Canada LP for the provision of new LIFEPAK AED units, related parts, and on-going maintenance and servicing of new and existing AED units.
Background:
The City requires lifecycle replacement of all LIFEPAK CR2 AEDs that are deployed on front-line apparatus. The City will replace the current model with the new version, LIFEPAK CR2. This model offers improved technology which provides greater interoperability between agencies, increased quality assurance, and better patient outcomes.
LIFEPAK AEDs are currently used by all Emergency Medical Services (EMS) paramedic response units and Alberta Health Services (AHS) hospitals within Calgary. In an emergency, The City’s Fire Department, EMS and AHS equipment must be interchangeable and emergency staff must be trained on the same AED units to ensure quick response and effective patient care is provided.
Description of Material and Services: Purchase, maintenance and servicing of LIFEPAK CR2 AED units and related parts.
Brand: LIFEPAK
Quantity: approximately initial 130 units. Anticipate up to additional ten (10) units per years.
