The City of Calgary Public Art Program is requesting proposals from qualified conservators or conservation firms to provide conservation treatment services for its outdoor collection over a period of three (3) years
The successful proponent will be a qualified and highly experienced Conservator or Conservation firm that has the necessary skills, tools, and materials to complete hands-on conservation treatment on outdoor artworks and monuments. Conservation treatment services will address the conservation needs of nine (9) permanently-sited outdoor artworks during the three (3)-year period, according to the priorities and condition needs identified during 2016-2017 and 2019 collections assessments. A full list of these artworks to be treated is supplied.
The highest rated proponent will be requested to enter an Agreement with The City for the provision of the Deliverables. The term of the Agreement may include a Proof of Concept, with an option in favour of The City to renew the Agreement on the same terms and conditions for an initial term of up to three (3) years. After the initial term, The City will have an option to renew the Agreement on the same terms and conditions for two (2) additional 1 year terms for a potential total term of one (1) years.
