The City of Calgary, Water Utility requires a meter strategy to identify future water metering goals and develop business plans to achieve those goals. Advanced Meter Infrastructure is currently being implemented by a number of utilities across North America and The City of Calgary would like to explore in detail, the benefits and costs of AMI and other meter reading options in relation to our current metering infrastructure. The development of a meter strategy will enable The City of Calgary to identify the short, medium, and long-term goals for our Meter Team while ensuring the customer remains the focus of our planning.
This project anticipates the following Phases:
Phase 1 – Scoping study and cost benefit analysis
Phase 2 – Implementation plan
Phase 3 – Vendor selection
Phase 4 – Implementation
Phase 5 – Support
Unless otherwise stated in the Agreement Letter, the award under this RFP will be for all Phases of the Requirements, subject to approval by The City after each Phase.
Any Agreement resulting from this opportunity will have a duration lasting until project completion.
This procurement process is not intended to create and will not create a formal legally binding bidding process and will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations.
