The City of Calgary (“The City”) is looking for a qualified Supplier to collect and dispose of residential Garbage in Black Carts from approximately 88,000 homes identified in Reference A - the Collection Area Map, Every Other Week as described in more detail throughout this RFP.
Reference B outlines the Liquidated Damages in the amounts specified that will apply to the Agreement if the associated requirements are not met.
The Supplier will be required to meet the deliverables described in this RFP which are critical for project success.
The Supplier will be required to provide Collection Vehicles and the required equipment to perform services that are:
i. Compatible with The City’s Black Carts as described in Appendix F – Deliverables & Appendix G – Specifications; and
ii. Only to be used for The City’s residential Black Cart waste collection as indicated in this RFP.
The City will only consider Proposals if the Unit Price per Customer per Year in the first year of the Contract (in Column B of Appendix C) is less than $40.00 as per The City’s Affordability Cap.The Supplier will not be responsible for:
- The supply of Black Carts;
- The repair or replacement of Black Carts; and
- Collecting Waste from locations outside of the Collection Area.
