Description

The City is seeking an experienced Proponent to provide recycling of mixed and broken glass generated from The City recycling programs. The Proponent is expected to haul the mixed and broken glass from the storage location and transport it to the Proponent’s processing facility for reuse or recycling.

The Preferred Proponent will provide recycling of mixed and broken glass generated from The City recycling programs. The Supplier is expected to haul the mixed and broken glass from the storage location and transport it to The Supplier’s processing facility for recycling.

The Preferred Proponent shall be solely responsible for collection, transportation, storage and processing of the provided mixed and broken glass for reuse and/or recycling.

The highest rated proponent will be requested to enter an Agreement with The City for the provision of the Deliverables. The term of the Agreement may include a Proof of Concept, with an option in favour of The City to renew the Agreement on the same terms and conditions for an initial term of up to one (1) year. After the initial term, The City will have an option to renew the Agreement on the same terms and conditions for two (2) additional one (1) year terms for a potential total term of three (3) years.

This procurement process is not intended to create and will not create a formal legally binding bidding process and will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations.
