The City of Calgary (“The City”) is seeking a service provider to process and recycle Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs) and Long Tube Fluorescent Lamps collected at The City’s Waste Management Facilities (WMFs).
The Supplier will provide closed loop recycling of fluorescent lamps collected at The City’s Waste Management Facilities, using their own equipment and proven processes necessary to complete their required work safely and effectively to the required environmental standards . A specific collection and transportation process has already been established and the respondent must adhere to that process while meeting the requirements of the program outlined in greater detail hereafter.
The highest rated proponent will be requested to enter an Agreement with The City for the provision of the Deliverables. The term of the Agreement may include a Proof of Concept, with an option in favour of The City to renew the Agreement on the same terms and conditions for an initial term of up to two (2) years. After the initial term, The City will have an option to renew the Agreement on the same terms and conditions for two (2) additional two (2) year terms for a potential total term of six (6) years.
This procurement process is not intended to create and will not create a formal legally binding bidding process and will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations.
