Calgary Community Standards (CCS), a Business Unit within The City of Calgary (“The City”) requires the provision to supply all labour, materials, equipment and incidentals necessary to provide snow and ice removal on and if, as and when required basis, at the specific request of designated staff of Animal & Bylaw Services.
The Supplier will choose the most time and cost efficient method of corrective action for each referral, while ensuring the City sidewalk is returned to bare pavement.
Where a property owner is found to be in violation of Street Bylaw 20M88 (Snow and Ice) and the property owners do not respond to a written warning, a work order will be issued. The Supplier will perform the work required to resolve the problem based on the assignment on the work order.
The highest rated proponent will be requested to enter an Agreement with The City for the provision of the Deliverables.The Agreement will be for seasonality of work from September 01 to May 31 and the first initial term of one (1) year with an option in favour of The City to renew the Agreement on the same terms and conditions After the initial term, The City will have an option to renew the Agreement on the same terms and conditions for two (2) additional two (2) year terms for a potential total term of five (5) years till 2026.
This procurement process is not intended to create and will not create a formal legally binding bidding process and will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations.
