Calgary Community Standards (CCS), a Business Unit within The City of Calgary (“The City”) requires the provision to supply all labour, materials, equipment and incidentals necessary to provide waste and unsightly material clean-ups and disposal, on an if, as and when required basis, at the specific request by The City. This work also includes encampments on private property.
Where a property owner is found to be in violation of the Community Standards Bylaw 5M2004 and has failed to respond to a warning notice, a Notice of Corrective Action will be issued and City crews or the Preferred Proponent will perform the work required to resolve the problem. If the Bylaw Officer deems the infraction to be an immediate hazard to public safety, an Emergency Situation notice will be issued and City crews or the Supplier will perform the work required to resolve the problem with proper equipment.
The highest rated proponent will be requested to enter an Agreement with The City for the provision of the Deliverables. The term of the Agreement may include a Proof of Concept, with an option in favour of The City to renew the Agreement on the same terms and conditions for an initial term of up to five (5) years.
This procurement process is not intended to create and will not create a formal legally binding bidding process and will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations.
