Description

The City of Calgary is seeking quotes from suppliers to provide one or more various types of pedestrian lighting system that will enhance the visibility of pedestrians during night time.

The City intends to test the effectiveness of selected product solutions for the following types of pedestrian crossing lighting:

Pedestrian activated illumination – streetlight head to be activated by a push button.
Internally illuminated pedestrian crossing sign – an overhead pedestrian crossing sign with internally lit beacons and downlighting system, to be activated by a push button.
Projected lighting system – a pedestrian activated system to project illuminated roadmarkings (pedestrian symbol and/or lines).
Other – other innovative lighting systems that will enhance pedestrian safety.

Upon completion of testing these products at identified intersections (approximately one year), The City will be issuing a Request for Proposal to secure quantities for longer term requirements.

Quotation Submittal: Respondents should clearly indicate the category they are quoting and submit a separate quotation response for each category (if bidding on multiple categories).
